Mr. Anspach is considered a principal founder of subsurface utility engineering and the development of utility engineering as a recognized civil discipline. He has been referred to as the “Godfather of Subsurface Utility Engineering” and the “Father of Modern Utility Engineering.” He is an authority on the standard of care issues for utility damage prevention and the practice of subsurface utility engineering.
